Course Description
Benedict’s Law is new statutory guidance for schools in England, published in full in July 2026 and becoming mandatory from September 2026. It requires all school staff to receive comprehensive allergy awareness and anaphylaxis training to help keep pupils safe.
Our 1-hour training course ensures your team understands the requirements of the legislation and provides the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in an allergy emergency.

Successful delegates receive a certificate that is valid for 1 year.
Who needs to complete this training?
All personnel on site should complete this training, including teachers, teaching assistants, catering teams, caretakers, and minibus drivers, ensuring everyone can recognise and respond appropriately to an allergic emergency.
What will I learn on this course?
You’ll gain an understanding of allergies and anaphylaxis, how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, how to reduce the risk of exposure to allergens, and the appropriate actions to take in an emergency, including the use of an adrenaline auto-injector.
Does this course meet legal or workplace requirements?
The course helps organisations meet their duty of care by ensuring staff understand allergy risks and emergency procedures. While not a legal requirement in all workplaces, it is considered best practice, particularly in schools and settings where individuals with known allergies are present.
