QA Level 3 Award in
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills needed to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural context.
The QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
This short, yet informative course provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease.
This qualification is designed to accompany a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and has been specifically developed to meet the recommendations of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy.

This course is 1/2 a day long.
Your certificate will be valid for 3 years after it is issued. You will then need to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
This qualification is for people who hold or intend to complete an Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification who may deal with special hazards in an emergency situation within a forestry/agricultural context.
Note: Those working in core operations on Forestry Commission land will require an appropriate and valid Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification in combination with this QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification.
The objective of this course is to benefit Learners by providing them with appropriate first aid training, in a forestry context, as set out in the First Aid at Work – Forestry Commission Policy enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with specific special hazards in an emergency situation.
